Application : 

1.Hydroquinone is mainly used as a developer for photography. Hydroquinone and its alkylates are widely used as polymer-blocking agents added in the process of monomer storage and transportation, and the commonly used concentration is about 200ppm.

2. HQ used as an antioxidant for rubber and gasoline, etc.

3.In the field of treatment, hydroquinone is added to the hot water and cooling water of the closed-circuit heating and cooling system, which can inhibit corrosion of the metal on the water side. Hydroquinone is used as a deoxidizer of boiler water. Hydroquinone is added to the boiler water during preheating and deoxygenation to remove residual dissolved oxygen.

4.HQ is the manufacture of anthraquinone dyes, azo dyes, pharmaceutical raw materials.

5.HQ used as a detergent corrosion inhibitor, stabilizer and antioxidant, etc., but also used in cosmetics hair dye.

6.Photometric determination of phosphorus, magnesium, niobium, copper, silicon and arsenic, etc. Determination of iridium by polarographic and volumetric methods. Reducing agent for heteropoly acid, copper and gold
